Warning Signs of Gum Disease
Often, periodontal disease in pets can be caught and treated early on. It is important to watch for warning signs of periodontal disease, and take appropriate steps to prevent it in your pet. Some symptoms that your pet may have periodontal disease include:
- Stinky breath
- Yellow/brown teeth
- Loose teeth
- Trouble picking up food or eating
- Bleeding or red gums
- Bumps or lumps in the mouth
If your pet is displaying any of these symptoms, please schedule a dental exam and cleaning for them as soon as possible!
